Even with OS X 10.6 right around the corner Apple is still updating its current Leopard OS to 10.5.8. This should be the last major update until Snow Leopard comes.

Many people have been waiting for a few years now for the contract with Apple and AT&T to end. AT&T has significantly grew since they locked the iPhone in back in 2007. AT&T knows that the partnership with Apple will inevitable end and they believe that wireless providers in America will come down to network quality. The Apple AT&T contract is expected to expire at the end of next year.
