I have been using the Logitech G330 Gaming Headset for a couple months now. I wanted to logitechg330make sure I really liked them, before I wrote my review. I can actually sum up my review in one word. Awesome! However I will go into more detail just because I can. They are extremely light weight. That is important because I sometimes game for hours at a time and the last thing I want to happen, is to get neck strain from a heavy headset. This headset is also very flexible and completely adjustable. The behind the head design makes you think your not even wearing them at all. That allows you to fully immerse yourself into the game, be it COD/MW2 or Left 4 Dead 2. I have tested the headset on Windows 7 and on my Mac Mini, and I had no problems on either platform. There was no driver disc, you just plug it in and away you go. It’s nice to have the option of analog or digital also. I prefer the USB / digital option myself, but did try the analog to make sure it worked. I really did not notice much of a difference between the analog and digital. Now here is a bit of news for all you Linux users out there. Although it does not have it printed on the package as being supported. I also plugged in the headset to my Linux Mint 9 box and they just worked! They even got correctly recognized as a Logitech G330 Headset! They work just as well on my Linux Mint box as on the Windows PC or my Mac Mini. I am very impressed with this product and I highly recommend this headset to any gamer out there that wants to really hear what is going on in game.

Oh Yeah!

Well the tournament is over now. I have to tell you it was a freaking blast! I can’t remember when I had that much fun. The contest went off without a single glitch. The server was fast and stable, thanks to the team over at GameServes.com. I would like to thank all of you who participated in the event. I would like to give a special thank you to my buddy Radtaz. He helped me setup and organize the whole thing. If you also think this was a fun event, leave a comment and let me know. I could see putting on more such events in the future.

In this Video I show you how to use Super Grub Boot Disk to boot into your Linux distro and then what terminal commands you need to type to recover your Linux Mint Grub Boot Loader.  I used this myself to recover my boot loader after upgrading my windows 7 (120gig hd) to a larger (500gig hd). I was left with no boot loader at all not even the windows one. I first recovered the windows boot loader. then I re installed the grub boot loader. Relax and have fun. Let me know if it worked for you as it did for me.

This is a test of the Ustream producer app. The only reason I am even considering purchasing this application is: Ustream has changed something with respect to being viewed on the iPhone. I was streaming with FME (flash media encoder) my video settings was VP6 res 640 x 360 or 480 x 360 and for audio I was using mp3. All was fine, I had several people send me screenshots from their iPhones of me streaming.  –>

But now it was brought to my attention that I was no longer listed in the live shows on the ustream app on the iphone. A quick search by one of my viewers turned up that in order to be seen on the iPhone you must use the ustream producer application or you can use FME with H.264 Video not VP6 and the AAC audio codec not mp3. Which they provide a link to the AAC Codec that you can purchase for $200! Let’s just say I was not extremely happy. So now the question: since I have to spend $200 on either the AAC audio codec or on the ustream producer pro application which one should I get? Leave a comment on this post with your answer.
